SBA Young Lawyers Task Force

 

The Scottsdale Bar Association Board of Directors would like to recognize and thank the following members for their valuable contributions to the SBA. The Task Force was formed by the SBA Board of Directors to provide input regarding strategies to better attract and retain younger members.

Samantha is a family law attorney at State 48 Law Firm in Scottsdale. She joined the firm as a law clerk while attending ASU Law and returned to the firm following her graduation and passage of the Arizona Bar in 2022. Samantha graduated in the top third of her class and with highest pro bono distinction. While at ASU Law, Samantha was an editor for the ABA's Jurimetrics Journal, earning the Outstanding 3L Editor award and having her article published in the 2021 issue. Since becoming a licensed attorney, Samantha has participated in many trial and appellate matters, including drafting the briefing in a special action that resulted in published case law on an issue of first impression in favor of her client. Samantha is a newly appointed member of the Scottsdale Bar Association Board of Directors where she serves on the Membership Committee. She is also involved in the legal community through her membership of AWLA and the Young Lawyers Division of the MCBA.

Lindsey Huang has represented companies of all sizes in complex and high-stakes litigation, in state courts and federal courts, and at the trial and appellate levels. Lindsey has assisted clients in a wide range of matters involving, among other things, real estate, water rights, corporate governance disputes, antitrust and governmental investigations, construction liability, and various business disputes. She provides counsel through all stages of litigation, including engaging in discovery, participating in evidentiary hearings, drafting dispositive motions, participating in alternative dispute resolution, and preparing for trial.

Lindsey collaborates closely with her clients to understand their short- and long-term business objectives and to ensure those interests are protected and advanced throughout the litigation process. She is particularly skilled at shepherding a case through the discovery process with an eye toward resolution before trial and has helped secure favorable settlements for multiple clients.

Prior to joining Papetti Samuels Weiss McKirgan, Lindsey was an associate in the Phoenix office of a national law firm. Before that, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Scott Bales of the Arizona Supreme Court. In her prior career, Lindsey worked in law school admissions at the University of Michigan Law School.
