Sponsored by the Arizona State Bar Elder Law Section and the Area Agency on Aging, this event is expected to provide the epitome of enjoyment and satisfaction one can have volunteering as an attorney.  The attorneys dress as their favorite G-rated character as they assist community participants in preparing their Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will, using the Arizona Attorney General’s forms. 

Community participants must RSVP for their appointment. Procedurally, all participants will receive a Zoom invite for their specified time slot.  The wonderful team at Area Agency on Aging will connect each community participant with an assigned attorney in a Zoom meeting room once both the attorney and participant are ready. Wearing a costume should make this difficult subject easier for everyone to discuss.  You will assist the community participants in filling out the documents and answering their specific questions.  No elder law or estate planning experience needed. Where: From the comfort of your own home! All meetings will occur via Zoom. The Agency will host the zoom meetings and provide a meeting link to each attorney and client.

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (with a one-hour lunch break at noon and the last appointments scheduled at 2:00 p.m.)  Attorneys may volunteer for the entire day or for either the morning or afternoon shift.

Training:  There will be a video training to view prior to the event.
